Family Medicine

This elective clerkship offers students the opportunity for exposure to the practice of family medicine. The student will have the opportunity to perform initial patient interviews and physical examinations, assist with procedures, enhance presentation skills and learn cost‐effective management of patients. Students will be assigned to the Sparrow Family Medicine residency clinics in Lansing and Mason, working directly with the attending and family medicine residents. Students will also be assigned to spend one week with the family medicine in‐patient team. Student will participate in didactic activities throughout the clerkship.
